If you're someone who craves raw, unspoiled nature, the Tian Shan is the place to be. Unlike the crowded trails of the Alps or the Himalayas, this region remains one of the last true frontiers for hikers.
Here’s why it’s special.
The Tian Shan range boasts some of the highest mountains outside of the Himalayas, including Jengish Chokusu (Victory Peak) at 7,439 meters.
During our trip, we'll hike through beautiful lakes, majestic peaks, and deep canyons, surrounded by towering walls of rock and ice in valleys carved by ancient glaciers.
The trails here are wild and remote, often passing through traditional nomadic settlements, hidden alpine lakes, and vast pastures where shepherds still live in yurts. Expect to see wild horses, and golden eagles soaring above us.
One of the highlights of our trek will be Ala-Kul Lake, an otherworldly turquoise alpine lake sitting at 3,560 meters above sea level. The sight of its surreal blue waters contrasting against the rocky peaks is something you’ll never forget.
Kyrgyzstan is known for its warm and welcoming people, and during our hike, we’ll have the chance to experience authentic Kyrgyz nomadic culture.
We’ll sleep in traditional yurts, enjoy home-cooked meals, and learn about the centuries-old traditions of the people who call these mountains home.
If you’ve ever dreamed of trekking through untouched mountains, camping under star-filled skies, and experiencing a culture that has remained unchanged for centuries, this is your chance.
