Turquoise Katun
Day 1
Arrival at Gorno-Altaysk Airport
Upon arrival at Gorno-Altaysk Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your luxurious hotel. The transfer takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on your arrival time. Once you arrive at Grand Chalet Altai, take some time to explore the stunning surroundings of this five-star property, nestled on the banks of the picturesque Katun River and surrounded by pristine pine forests.
You will enjoy a welcoming lunch followed by a moment of relaxation to recover from your journey. If you desire, you can unwind further by visiting the hotel's spa and sauna complex, or simply relax by the heated outdoor pool amidst the tranquility of nature.
Located within a vast 8.5-hectare estate, Grand Chalet Altai offers the perfect blend of luxury and comfort to begin your Altai adventure. This day will provide the peace and rest you need to recharge for the exciting days ahead.

The Most Scenic Route of Altai – Seminsky Pass

Day 2

Confluence of the Chuya and Katun Rivers

After breakfast, we set off on one of the most scenic roads of Altai, the M52 Highway. Our first stop will be at Seminsky Pass, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Here, we’ll treat ourselves to aromatic coffee with pine nuts, a perfect energy boost for the day ahead.
Next, we’ll continue along the Chuya River, which merges with the Katun River, offering us spectacular mountain landscapes, wide valleys, and crystal-clear waters. We’ll take several breaks along the way for photo opportunities and light snacks while immersing ourselves in the vast, unspoiled nature.
After approximately 5-6 hours on the road, we’ll reach Kurai Village, where we’ll switch to 4x4 trucks for the final leg of the journey to EcoCamp Mir Altai. Here, you’ll stay in unique dome cabins that offer panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks of the Northern Chuya Ridge. Each cabin is equipped with essential amenities, including a bio-toilet and sink, ensuring comfort in the midst of nature.
This day will be a true highlight of your journey, offering an authentic experience of Altai’s stunning landscapes, far from the hustle and bustle of civilization.

Akturu Camp

Day 3

Transfer by 4x4 truck

After breakfast, we depart for the renowned Aktru Camp, accessible via 4x4 truck. The journey takes about 2 hours, offering spectacular views along the way.

Upon arrival, you will check into the alpine camp accommodations. We offer comfortable twin rooms without en-suite facilities. This provides a true mountain experience while ensuring essential comforts.

Once settled in, take a guided walk through the Aktru Valley to explore the surrounding natural beauty and get acquainted with the camp’s facilities. The tranquil landscapes of the valley will allow you to unwind and immerse yourself in the untouched wilderness.

Lunch and dinner will be served in the local dining hall, where you can enjoy traditional mountain cuisine and delicious local dishes.

Trek to the Small Aktru Glacier and Waterfall
Day 4
Acclimatization

Today, we embark on an acclimatization trek to the stunning Small Aktru Glacier and its nearby waterfall. The trek is 10 km long, with an elevation gain of 200 meters, allowing you to adjust to the altitude while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

This hike will introduce you to the beauty of Altai's glacial regions, with spectacular mountain vistas and pristine nature. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the area’s unique geology and wildlife.

Lunch will be provided as a packed meal to enjoy on the trail, while breakfast and dinner will be served back at the camp. After a fulfilling day of trekking, a relaxing sauna awaits, where you can unwind and refresh after your hike.

Big Aktru Glacier and Blue Lake
Day 5
Trekking day
Today’s adventure takes us on an unforgettable trek to the Big Aktru Glacier and the stunning Blue Lake. The hike covers 20 km, with an elevation gain of 700 meters, offering spectacular views of towering peaks, pristine glaciers, and alpine lakes.
This challenging trek will reward you with some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Altai Mountains. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the serene beauty of the glacier and the vibrant blue waters of the lake.
A packed lunch will be provided for you to enjoy during the trek, while breakfast and dinner will be served at the camp. After completing this memorable journey, a soothing sauna awaits, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and recover.

Kurai Village
Day 6
Check-in at the "Above the Mountains" Glamping
Rest and Relaxation After the Journey

After an exciting adventure, we begin our return journey to Kurai Village by 4x4 truck. The road offers picturesque views, making the return trip just as beautiful as the journey itself.

Upon arrival in Kurai, we check into the unique "Above the Mountains" glamping, where comfort meets nature in a truly magical setting. You will stay in tent-houses, each equipped with a double/twin bed, crisp white linens, towels, blankets, decorative pillows, and chairs on the terrace, perfect for enjoying the mountain views.

This evening, you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the glamping site after an unforgettable trekking experience.

Journey via the Katu-Yaryk Pass
Day 7
Glamping on the Southern Shore of Lake Teletskoye

On the 1st of July, we set off on an exciting journey through the picturesque Katu-Yaryk Pass, renowned for its stunning panoramic views of the Altai Mountains and the deep valleys below. The road leads us to the peaceful shores of Lake Teletskoye, where we will check into the exclusive "Above the Mountains" glamping on the Southern shore of the lake.

Upon arrival, you’ll be settled into luxurious tent-houses located on the first line by the water's edge. These spacious and comfortable tent-houses are equipped with double/twin beds, crisp white linens, towels, blankets, decorative pillows, as well as a small table and chairs.

Inside the tent-house, you’ll also find a shower and sink, ensuring your comfort during your stay. For your convenience, a power socket is available for charging devices or connecting electric blankets. Lighting is provided for the main room and terrace, enhancing the relaxing atmosphere of this peaceful retreat.

The stunning lake views and tranquil surroundings will make this a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Altai.

Majestic Uchar Waterfall
Day 8
Trekking day

On the 2nd of July, we embark on a thrilling trek to the Uchar Waterfall, one of the most spectacular and remote waterfalls in Russia. The hike covers 16 km along a challenging trail, taking approximately 8 hours round trip. Along the way, you will be mesmerized by the powerful roar of the waterfall, which plunges a dramatic 160 meters down into the valley below. Uchar is listed among the Top 5 most inaccessible places in Russia, making this an unforgettable adventure.

The trail to Uchar is a true adventure in itself, often described as an obstacle course. You will navigate rocky paths, dense forests, and river crossings, all while being surrounded by the wild beauty of the Altai Mountains. The reward at the end is the stunning view of the waterfall, where you can marvel at the sheer force of nature and take in the surrounding vistas.

After reaching the waterfall, we will begin our journey back to camp, completing the round trip in about 8 hours. This trek will be a true test of endurance and a highlight of your Altai adventure. Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch (for the trek), and dinner.

Stone Mushrooms
Day 9
Trekking day

On the 3rd of July, we will embark on an exciting excursion to one of the wonders of Russia – the Stone Mushrooms. These unique rock formations, shaped over centuries by natural forces, are a true geological marvel and one of the most striking features of the Altai Mountains.

The trek to the Stone Mushrooms begins with a river crossing over the Chulishman River, adding an adventurous touch to the journey. After crossing the river, we’ll begin the 1.5-hour ascent to reach the rock formations, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and these incredible natural structures.

The Stone Mushrooms are known for their unusual appearance, resembling giant mushrooms or pillars, and offer excellent photo opportunities. You’ll have time to explore the area, take in the panoramic views, and learn about the fascinating geological history of these formations.

Lake Teletskoye
Day 10
Boat Ride and Farewell Dinner
Our final day in Altai will be dedicated to one of the region's most stunning locations - Lake Teletskoye, also known as the Golden Lake of Altai. We will begin early in the morning with a ferry ride from the minibus to Artybash, where the next part of our journey awaits. While you enjoy a restful sleep and a delicious breakfast, we will prepare an exclusive boat trip for you across the lake. Along the way, we will visit breathtaking waterfalls and take in the awe-inspiring beauty of nature.

After the boat excursion, we will head to our hotel, "Urochische Saikol," located just an hour's drive from Artybash. Here, you will be treated to a farewell dinner, where we’ll reflect on the highlights of our trip.

For the night, you'll stay in comfortable two-level studios with all modern amenities, ensuring that your final evening is as relaxing and memorable as possible.

On the 5th of July, enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the hotel, followed by some free time to explore, relax, or reflect on your amazing adventure through the Altai Mountains. Take the opportunity to soak in the last moments of this beautiful region before we begin our journey home.
